Industrial park management & site development
ASG Spremberg GmbH

"By 2028, we expect private investment of around 1.5 billion euros and a need for around 3,000 new jobs in Schwarze Pumpe. We are currently preparing for this growth with strategic infrastructure investments in the three-digit million euro range. This will also create an expansion area for industrial settlements totalling 350 hectares. By 2040, we will also make Lusatia's largest industrial park, which currently employs around 5,000 people in 121 companies, climate-neutral for the future."

BASF Schwarzheide GmbH

"BASF is investing in the future in Schwarzheide. In June 2023, the largest single investment in the history of our site was made with the plant for the production of cathode materials for battery production. The prototype plant for battery recycling went into operation in spring 2024. The black mass recycling plant is scheduled for completion in the middle of this year. With these investments in the three-digit million range, we will expand the product portfolio at BASF's Schwarzheide site and close the loop in the battery value chain. We are also investing in the energy infrastructure. Our projects are exemplary for the ongoing transformation towards CO2-neutral production."

Paul Bauder GmbH

"In Schwepnitz, we have found the ideal location for our new plant for high-quality synthetic roofing membranes. As one of the leading manufacturers of roofing systems in Europe, we are not only strengthening Lusatia as an industrial region with our investment of over 60 million euros, but are also making a decisive contribution to the fight against the consequences of climate change with our system solutions. We have felt welcome here since day one and we continue to look positively to the future."

Lausitzer Naturfaser Ebersbach UG

"Lausitzer Naturfaser and its team stand for the transformation of mechanical engineering in Lusatia towards green, climate-friendly technologies. Our machines in the special machinery sector for biogenic products made from natural fibres serve numerous unique selling points in a global niche. In the future, we are planning to invest up to 10 million euros, which will generate up to 40 additional jobs. The basis for this success is not least the close interaction between science, existing expertise in the SME sector and the best location conditions for favourable production and growth, combined with attractive funding opportunities."

Lusatia – Best connection to the World

Attractive prime investment locations

One of the great advantages of the Brandenburg and Saxon Lusatia is the commercial space, small or large, available for the manufacturing sector and industry, along with inexpensive office space for start-ups and young technology companies. Investors benefit from being close to powerful major business partners – in particular from the energy, metal and machine construction, automotive engineering and energy technology, food, plastic, glass and textile industries, as well as being near to the international hubs of Berlin, Dresden, Prague and Wrocław. This makes the location attractive for new companies.

The region is situated directly on the transport axis of the North Sea ports towards eastern and southern Europe. Commercial and industrial estates are available in all locations – fully developed, with good transport connections and astonishingly inexpensive prices. In Lusatia you will find the best conditions and high quality with good value for money.
